Camp Mustache Guiding Principles

  1. Not for profit: Camp Mustache is not for profit and volunteer run. Making income off Mr. Money Mustache’s brand by facilitating a gathering of the Mustachian community is antithetical to the spirit of the community.
  2. Not for prophet: Camp Mustache organizers should make it clear up front that Mr. Money Mustache probably won’t attend, since there’s only one of him and a growing number of Camp Mustache locations around the world.
  3. Inclusivity: everyone is welcome at Camp Mustache, all input is welcomed. We foster a culture where everyone is learning from everyone else. Breakout sessions and other events are structured to be as inclusive as possible. Camp Mustache is not a conference where “normal people” pay to get access to “big name bloggers”.
  4. Stewardship of nature: Camp Mustache is held in a natural setting with activities that allow attendees to get out into nature. The planning and execution of Camp Mustache minimizes our environmental footprint. Ideally the entire event is carbon-neutral.
